What changed
Every change since SignUpCity went live, newest first. There is also a feed for a feed reader.
Drafts from a description use a newer model
Describing what you need on the sheet or poll page now goes to a newer, faster model first. On the cases we test with it drafts as well as before or better, and it costs a sixth as much to run, which is part of how this stays free.
Polls catch up with sheets
A poll now has "Remind them" beside the people who have not answered, a meeting link that is shown once a time is chosen, "Add a person" and "Edit answers" on the page you run it from, and an optional email when people answer.
Fixed: a poll with "if need be" switched off still offered it to the people answering, then refused their answer.
Quieter pages for the person running a sheet
The six question buttons are gone from the sheet editor, "nobody has signed up yet" is said once, and settings people rarely touch sit behind "More settings", which opens by itself when one of them is set. Pressing Publish on a sheet that needs a second look now brings the warning into view.

Closing dates in a description, and a simpler describe box
"Sign-ups close Friday" in a description now sets the closing time, at the end of Friday where the sheet is. "Saturday this weekend" means Saturday, not both days. The example buttons under the describe box are gone; the box itself shows the shape of a request.
A description can ask for a weekly grid
"Every Tuesday and Thursday, which afternoon hour suits?" now drafts a poll by day of the week, with the hours narrowed if you named them, rather than four dates in one month.
Counting two things only a browser can see
We now count which sharing button was pressed and when the time zone planner is used, and nothing else: no titles, no names, no addresses. The cities and the hour you choose in the planner never reach us.
A settings save that undid work
Fixed: saving a sheet's settings panel could clear each section's host and reopen slots you had closed. And "six people, split into two shifts" is drafted as two shifts of three again.
Unknown time zones no longer break a page
A time zone the browser does not know, arriving in a shared planner link or a poll link, is now ignored rather than taking the page down.
Faster sheet pages
Small stylesheets now travel inside the page. On a phone the live sheet page appeared about a second sooner.
Fixes from the third round of checks
Template and comparison pages use the reader's own English, panels say what they are to a screen reader, a held button says why it is held, and the error page for a short outage says so rather than reading like a crash.
Fixes from a full check of the product
The first fixes from a careful check of every part of the product, and steadier automated tests.
Signing in keeps your place
Signing in from a link now brings you back to the page the link was for.
Your own link in your calendar
A calendar entry for a sign-up carries the link to change or leave it. A report about a page is accepted however the address was typed, and the website snippet has a copy button.
The sheet and poll pages are tidier: explanations sit behind an "i", and moving or editing a person opens over the page, so nothing else moves.
The QR code panel, simplified
Plain or fancy is now a switch, with one link to download each.
QR codes for polls and event pages
Polls and event pages can download a QR code too, not only sheets.
Plain or fancy QR codes
Choose a plain code for printing small, or a fancier one for a poster.
Small things
The printed page has a way back, and downloaded spreadsheets are named after what they hold.
Your sheets and polls page works again
Fixed: for a day, the page listing your sheets and polls said something had gone wrong for everybody signed in.
Fixes before telling anybody
An event page no longer puts its sign-in suggestion above the link you must save, and the calendar builder's end date and time no longer crowd each other on a phone.
Fixes from a walk through every page
A comment left with a sign-up is now seen only by the person running the sheet and the person who wrote it, even in the page's own code.
Things shared with you
Your sheets and polls page lists what other people have shared with you, alongside your own.
